Sale of upcycled bottle plants at parent-teachers meeting

Bottle gardening was started with the view of upcycling used bottles.. Where our students gather bottles , they cut them, decorate them in various styles by painting, by using beads, pistachios, sparkles, etc. and turn them into beautiful pots.

Another team of students are involved in planting saplings into these pots. A workshop was held by Godrej nursery personnel where they taught the students about various kinds of soil and manure used for gardening. They also taught what are the required steps to be taken while planting saplings. They also demonstrated how the plants could be grown and also gave on hands experience to students as well as teachers and rectified them if they made any tiny mistakes. This gave an insight to the students and today they can work on their own.

Our another team of marketing is so enthusiastic that they encourage students and our other valuable customers to buy the product and explain them the steps to be taken care of.

Due to this, we have lots of demand of this upcycled pots as well our valuable customers have started demanding the plants of their choice too. Not only this but they have also started promoting our product as well as the message to save our planet. Our students have grasped artistic skills to create attractive pots, thus encouraging more students to be environment friendly and save our planet.

The School Enterprise Competition that our school has participated in gained international presence when we shared our ideas with Mr. Gary Dodds, Mrs. Claire Greave and Mrs. Emily Dale from our partner school, St. Martins, Derby, UK. Our guests were delighted to learn the art of making handmade notebooks, notepads and cards using up-cycled scrap material. Mrs. Greave has planned to teach the students of St. Martins the technique of making handmade products.
Mr. Dodds took our products to UK to show them to their public. We have arranged for a video conference where the team will teach the students of St. Martins to make handmade notebooks, notepads and cards.
