We at the ideaL jotter have been constantly working with one goal in mind since we established ourselves this year in Late July. It took a while to be able to realise the true potential that we held within ourselves, but as we did… It did not take long to give it all for our cause!
The ideaL jotter is a firm run by the students and teachers of Udayachal High School, Mumbai, India. We upcycle and recycle waste materials into ethnic notebooks, notepads and greeting card that are not just unique but also personal! Each book we make is unique, every design is different as our production team consists of the world’s most creative people, i.e. Children…
Every child in the school designs a cover for a book or a notepad as part of the art and craft curriculum giving us a wide range of designs.
Therefore, we have a large variety of products to offer to our customers.
That is the first part.
Now to the more important task at hand…
We all are fortunate to be able to study in a good school and learn various life skills. But what about all those who are not? That is our main aim!
With the the profits produced after sales, we intend to run learning workshops for the underprivileged children in and around our vicinity.
This is what we, at The ideaL jotter are constantly striving for.

As you might know, books have been around since forever! But its hardly fun to use them. They are an integral part of our life. But then why do they have to be monotonous? Why can’t they be personal? An object on which you ‘jot’ your heart’s content on, let it be a diary or a sketchbook or even a notebook for school, deserves to be personal. Okay, now you might say that there are books available which have pictures as their covers, but do they deserve to cost that much?
Well, that’s where we come in. The Ideal Jotter. It’s a pleasure for us to introduce our range of ethnic jotters, which are simply ideaL to you! From the moment you pick it up from your bag, till the moment you close it and keep it back in, The ideaL jotters are a pleasure to use. Featuring the most magnificent art works by award-winning students on the covers, these books are simply unmatched in personalization. And they don’t break the bank too, costing as much as (or a little more than) those monotonous brown paper covered books.
Also, this is run from Udayachal High School, International School Award Winner, Mumbai. The books produced are a part of the students’ art and craft projects.
Waste management is the key to transforming waste notebook into reusable notepads. The children donate newspapers & old books whole heartedly to generate capital which is was then used to procure chart material. The available unused blank pages were cut to various sizes by the school after selling waste newspapers in scrap. A team of children who are skilled in arts prepare decorative cover pages that helped to make the notepads saleable.
